I cannot recommend Dolphin Bay villa highly enough if you are after a peaceful stay somewhere with spectacular views. The villa itself was very modern inside (and is much bigger than the photos look inside which was a nice surprise!) with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. There is a BBQ out on the terrace that we used most nights, when we didn’t go in to Kas town for dinner.
On arrival we were met by Omer who provided us with the key and showed us around, and how things worked (air con, BBQ, etc). It was reassuring to have this contact on arrival, and Omer came every morning to bring fresh bread which again was a nice touch. There were also some provisions in the fridge on arrival (olives, feta, fruit, milk etc).
The villa was too far away to walk in to Kas but it was very easy to call taxis (cost 25TRY each way – about £7). However, we hadn’t realised that the villa was almost right next door to the Deniz Feneri Lighthouse Hotel, so on several occasions we walked there (about 3-4mins down the hill) for sundowners or to use their beach platform to swim in the sea. This was a great surprise as we had assumed we were further from the water than we were! We also walked to Barbarossa beach club to spend the day by the water and Lukka hotel for late afternoon cocktails – the walk took around 20mins. On one of the days we also hired a private boat from Kas Marina (Tayli I) which was a very special day – hiring the entire boat (which could hold 20ppl) cost only £60 each for 4 of us, which included lunch (will leave separate review for this boat). Perfect day!
All in all, I couldn’t recommend Dolphin Bay enough – the views were some of the best I have seen and the villa was perfect for myself and 3 other girlfriends. Tony provided really useful information in the run up to our stay and provided a detailed guide to the villa and area. He also recommended a taxi transfer company from the airport which was ideal. We are already planning our trip again next year!
